Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar will take oath as the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka on Saturday. The event will be held at 12.30 pm at Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.

According to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, apart from Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar, eight other MLAs will take oath as ministers. However, the portfolios will be announced later.
“Today is the swearing-in ceremony of the CM, Deputy CM and eight MLAs who will take oath as the ministers (in the state cabinet), everyone is attending it. I am going for the same. It is a matter of delight that a new and strong Congress Govt has come to power in Karnataka. This will benefit Karnataka and it is creating a good environment in the country,” ANI quoted the Congress President in a tweet.
The swearing-in ceremony is expected to become the stage to showcase the strength of the Opposition Unity ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. The Congress has extended invitations to many Chief Ministers and other leaders from the Opposition parties across the country.
The Congress has invited leaders of DMK, TMC
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar and many others are attending the event. West Bengal CM Banerjee has designated TMC Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar for the programme.
Many leaders including Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, BSP Chief Mayawati, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Andhra Chief Minister YS Yagan and a few others have not been invited.
