A MiG-21 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh on Monday. According to reports, the aircraft had taken off from Suratgarh. At least two civilian casualties have been reported in the incident, said PTI.
According to reports, the pilot is safe and army’s helicopter has reached the accident site.
The pilot and co-pilot jumped from the aircraft in time and landed safely in the drain area with the help of a parachute. However, the helicopter fell on a house causing death of a woman and a man, according to reports.
In recent times, the IAF has witnessed a series of crashes involving fighter jets and choppers.
